Epieos is a browser lookup for an email address or a phone number. You get the social and service accounts it can resolve, plus the public profile details those sites expose. There is no install. The free tier is enough to see whether a given address is a dead end.
The operators make three promises that matter in this category. They say they do not log queries or results. They say they only use techniques that do not notify the target, so no “forgot password” email that lands in someone’s inbox. They say they do not show false positives, because they only return live results from the networks they query.
The last one is the usual vendor line. A live miss is still a miss. A reused display name is still not proof. Use it as a first pass.
When it is the right tool
When you want a fast, quiet email or phone check and you do not want to stand up Holehe or GHunt. Epieos is the web-app version of that habit. Holehe covers more registration-check sites if you are willing to run Python. If I am paying, I go to Behind the Email. OSINT Industries is the only tool I treat as covering more, and it costs more.
I keep Epieos in the directory because it is easy and because the “do not notify the target” rule is the correct default. Once the first hit matters, I move to a tool that returns a fuller profile or a cited breach row.
