PhoneInfoga is a phone-number information-gathering framework. The repo is sundowndev/phoneinfoga. You give it an international number. It tells you the country, the carrier, and the line type, then runs scanners that look for the number’s public footprint.
The first half is the part that always works. Numbering-plan data is public. “This is a French mobile on this carrier” is a useful, cheap fact and it does not require a paid API. The second half (web footprint, social hits) depends on scanners that live or die with the sites they query.
How I use it
I use it as a local first pass before I spend money on Truecaller, Revealer.US, or a paid reverse-phone API. If the number is a VoIP range, a pager, or a country I cannot work in, I want to know that before I buy a credit.
There is a web UI if you do not want to stay in the terminal. You still have to install it. Scanners that need third-party keys will sit idle until you add those keys.
Limits
PhoneInfoga will not reliably name the subscriber. Truecaller might, because it has a crowd-sourced address book. A paid OSINT platform might, because it has a data partner. This tool names the line. That is still worth knowing, and it is why the listing stays. The named-person part of phone OSINT is what professionals actually pay for.
